The Monday Nightmare

So finally the much dreaded sessionals came again. This time its starting on Monday,3rd March. One of the things relaxing me is that my brother’s exams are also starting on that day. Yeah! He’s in class 10 and this is his CBSE board exams. I wish him best of luck from my bottom of heart.

His situation may be quite good and on mine side its just the reverse. I got dreaded theory papers, some of them have to be mugged up :-( The only 3/5 papers which I think am capable of giving is Computer Graphics (which has less syllabus), TCP/IP which has HTML,CSS and JavaScript this time (so a bit relaxed) and Financial Management which is quite realistic paper.

The rest two are Software Engineering where we have to deal with Software evolution, ISO Certification. Software Testing stages and all those practical things in a very bookish way! The last one is Compiler Construction- its easy but very damn irritating. The language of the book is very unusual, its all the crap which we studies in Assembler design but a bit more complicated with States and all.

Besides we have India v/s Australia match tomorrow, have to seat myself forcefully to finish off the lengthy nightmares. Both of the two papers on Monday are more than half untouched. Hope Team India shows up a perfect play. My best wishes to them. :)

Cricket is no more a genteman’s game

For the last 3-4 days lots of developments are going on in the Cricket world which will surely make cricket fans unhappy. The old and useless umpire Steve Bucknor made uncountable mistakes in the second test of Australia. All of these went against India while the BCCI was sleeping tightly while the players were being meted out with this treatment. The team management decided that they would not complain against the umpires to pacify the matter. Injustice didnt stop here, Symonds complained Harbhajan Singh of racial accuse and while there was not evidence, he was banned for three tests.

Now when BCCI woke up from the deep slumber, ICC bowed and sacked the partial umpire from the third test.Harbhajan ban has been temporarily lifted, not revoked. I still dont believe that partial ICC who always tortures the Asians and sets free players from other countries. After all its chief is Malcolm Speed is also from Australia, a country known to be king of sledging.

And on the other part. The blog which I mentioned in the last post, got even more hits yesterday, which hit a double-century. Here are some of the snaps of the blog stats.

Exams drawing to a close

So finally a big headache is over. Am very much relaxed after giving this Operating System paper which was my most hated paper theoretically and most loved paper practically. Who will say that the person who keeps promoting Linux himself gets so less marks in this paper and has least internals of all papers. Just one more paper left -”Computer Networks” on Tuesday. Leaving home on 13th (Thursday)

Yesterday even paper I didnt get rest, left for railway concession, a whooping 5 to 9:30PM shift was something I never expected. Finally came to room, got a movie and watched it till 4AM. I was really tired, still ;)
On the sports end, Yuvraj and Ganguly played the test match like they were in a 20-20 match. Even Pathan reached a century and no more comments on Dada! He achieved in making his debut double century. :-) The return of the Dada!

Indian cricketers prove their might

This is my first attempt of live blogging. It will be for the sports religion of India-”Cricket”. The Men in Blue showed up an excellent performance yesterday. Ganguly came back in his aggresive form (104 runs) to say “Greg! Here goes my end of career… :D”. Greg Chappell is a loser. Even Jaffer and Laxman scored centuries. Dhoni and Dravid half-centuries. The one person unlucky was again Sachin who missed his century. Wasim Jaffar was the man to hit a double-century.

On the other side, Pakistan lost their wickets in the beginning as Misbah came back to their rescue. Akmal is giving him full support. Presently they are on 84* and 83* respectively. They might even save the follow on!

River of sorrows

So here finishes my third sessionals. Am back after a long break. This was very crucial to me, except that I left one, badly spoilt two and rest two god knows. :(
From the cricket end, India v/s Pakistan test match is going on. I was hardly interested in such slow and dull games. I admit that test matches are a place for players to show their talent, but its damn boring for the viewers. Presently Pakistan is leading by some 150 runs. India needs a good comeback and I do hope so.

Since exams have finished ( the bigger one is still to come), I may rest completely tomorrow and start getting photocopies and knowing the syllabus correctly. These two are the most important things to do before exams rather than studying. :P
And lastly, finally I received a gift for my bday. That too after 3 months!!! What I got? A sweet, cute wallet and a photo stand. Wallet was the thing which I wanted urgently, and for that Photo Stand, shall I put the pic of my sweetheart or myself? And a final question- “Who Gifted it to Me?”. Well the answer is simply straightforward because we guys always act like misers… ;)

Finally my passport

Here is a sequel of the passport drama, after running here and there for filling up the passport form correctly, getting documents, getting them attested, police verification and identity verification, here comes my passport finally.

Yes! It arrived on this Wednesday in high time when I was preparing for my System Programming Lab end semester exams. Excitement followed the event, now I have a proof of residence and last but not the least- “My citizenship proof“.

Moving on the the cricket arena, Sachin again missed his century with just a few runs. Damn! What a bad luck! Though India won the match and the series, the continuous failure mistakes of Sachin has left his fans wondering what’s going on with him.

And finally wrapping up, third sessionals starts next week from Thursday. Really need to start studying, giving only four papers this time, though the load may be less, still I cant take chances.

A Bit Closer To Heaven

So finally we returned from Gokarna, the beautiful town in north Karnataka known for its beautiful and well managed beaches. Its a famous tourist destination known especially for the foreign tourists who throng this place at spring season. This was a class trip to the God’s home-Gokarna and Murdeshwar.

We left on saturday midnight and returned on Sunday 11PM, in less than 24 hrs. What more to tell-I loved the place save the highway which we chose to get there. We all together were 23 people, booked a 50 seater bus (too much! isnt it?). The journey was too tiresome-7 hrs! Three beaches were our destination-Gokarna beach, Kundle beach and Om beach. The latter was the most beautiful and populated. The beach is so called due to the coastline looks like “OM” sign. The water on all the three beaches were utterly dirty. Some places water was really BLACK!!

The place is really very beautiful. We felt as if we were in nature’s lap, it was God’s own place. (Pics attached, have a look!)

The return trip started at 5PM and we stopped at Murdeshwar to worship the Almighty God- Lord Shiv. The skyhigh statue of the Lord is a center of attraction. We had our dinner was headed straight back to our place of residence-Manipal.

SOME MEMORIES NEVER DIE!!

A BIT CLOSER TO HEAVEN!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!

The men in blue did it. Lifting the first Twenty20 World Cup is a feat in itself. The team comprised of only junior players and Dhoni as the captain. I never expected India to win at the start of the tournament, though Dhoni proved his captaincy. The match was very very exciting right from the first ball. India showed relatively poor performance in their innings but who knew that the bowlers would also prove their might. Uthappa’s dismissed Imran Nazir in a fantastic run out. This was one of the important wickets to stop the player who had scored 33 off 28 ball and was on fire!! What more to say? Am speechless! Spell bound. Only one word comes on my mouth -”CHAK DE INDIA”

Kangaroos Kicked Out

Some great news! India has entered the finals of Twenty20 world cup cricket. Beating Australia in the semis, the way has been paved to face Pakistan in the finals. The semi was a history in itself, who thought that Australia will be kicked out the tournament? There was a situation in the middle of the match that every one thought that Aussies have made their way in the finals. Harbhajan’s wicket was the turning point. After that Aussies batsman fell apart like a skyscraper hit by earthquake.

Yuvraj was in form again as usual. Hit 70 off just 30 balls. 5 Sixes!! 5 Fours!! Excellent play. He even set the world record of the longest six- 119m. He even set the record of second fastest half-century off 20 balls. Great work youngster! Keep it up.

India will face Pakistan tomorrow at 5:30PM IST. The match gonna be highly exciting. Pakistan had lost to India in this tournament in Bowl Out. They shall be in a mood to hit back. Be Careful Dhoni and Yuvraj-its your time to show your reliability and mettle too.

Six Sixes…

The last two days have been days of glory for Indian Team. Yesterday was India’s match with England! What more to say, Yuvraj’s 6 sixes of an over was the most cherished and loved one. He has surely taken the revenge, remember he gave 5 sixes off an over? Yuvraj even scored the fastest half-century- 50 off 12 balls, pretty tough to break. I have even downloaded the video from Youtube.

Today was India’s match with South Africa. The fielding shown up the Indian was superb. Hats off to you. Who knew that India-who badly needed to win this match to make its position further, not only won but even stopped South Africa whom everybody had thought to qualify. Next match with India is on Saturday with Australia, which is the main hurdle.Team India today really showed up a fighting spirit to stop SA, fielding was excellent. RP Singh run out where he sent back Boucher to pavilion was a classic example. Two stump out by Kartik are rare example that too in Harbhajan’s ball. Stump out are rare even today. I wish best of Luck for the Semis. :)
